“A very melodic and not over-burdened song. The guitar effects are chosen very well; clean where it needs to be which turns into a clean overdrive where it suits the song at the build-ups and a nice mature distortion in the chorus. Some very well-placed reverbs and echo-ish effects – definitely good producing.
The way the band moves in and out of various sections of songs, from verse to bridge, bridge to chorus etc. is very unique. They put a hell of a lot of thought into their composing!
As for the lyrics; they have been very well thought out, very mature and the music fits the emotions well. It’s very bitter-sweet.
I am sure it would be awesome to see this song performed live, we are certain that they have some great raw live energy!”

SA Guitarist is publicly proclaiming that as far as we are concerned, Dan Patlansky is the hottest guitarist in SA at the moment! With an unpredictable take on your conventional blues, 20 Stones is everything you want in a modern blues album and more! The album is packed with awesome guitar riffs, licks and solo’s that are usually humanly impossible to pull off – but such is his style; a truly gifted guitarist. 20 Stones doesn’t fall short of awesome vocals and lyrics either and very often we felt like getting up from our desks here at the office and air-guitaring to the gripping, rock’n’roll driven tunes!
But everyone I know reaches a point where they throw out their arms and go beserk for a while; otherwise you never know what your limits are. I was just trying to find mine.

The Rebel Train Surfers are an old school style rock band from Potchefstroom. With their roots firmly established in the timeless art of 60′s and 70′s Rock & Roll, their music contains the basic elements of solid rock songs with enough catchy lyrics to make Mick Jagger take notice, some drum rolls that will make Keith Moon turn over in his grave and a few guitar solos to match Jimmy Page.
